Sharla (she/her) is a clinically licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Connecticut and Ohio. She works creatively, weaving together art, science, and the lived experience of being human.
She supports clients navigating family estrangement, relational wounds, and early attachment ruptures, always viewing them as the experts of their own lives. Her style is warm, approachable, and deeply authentic. Sharla belongs to the LGBTQIA+ community, and holds space for the nuances of identity.
Her therapeutic approach includes narrative therapy, EMDR, and attachment-focused interventions. She holds a special certification in treating religious trauma from the Global Center for Religious Research and has extensive experience supporting clients facing chronic illness and the challenges of medical trauma.
Outside of her practice, Sharla is writing her first book—a guide to helping parents build authentic, supportive relationships with their teenage children as they grow into adulthood.
