Evita received her MSW from New York University and holds a Master’s in Nursing from Sacred Heart University. She has experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families in a variety of clinical and therapeutic settings. With a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges, Evita brings a unique blend of expertise in foster care, adoption, substance use disorder (SUD), behavioral health nursing, and LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy. She has worked with children, parents, and individuals navigating complex mental health and emotional challenges, including those arising from trauma, addiction, the foster care system, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). In addition to holding advanced degrees and licenses in both therapy and nursing, Evita has specialized training in trauma-informed care, attachment theory, family dynamics, and LGBTQ+ cultural competency. She is passionate about providing a safe, affirming space for individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations, ensuring that every client feels heard, respected, and supported in their therapeutic journey. Evita has experience in supporting foster and adoptive families and in building positive family relationships. She is a foster and adoptive parent herself. 

Evita approaches each client as an individual, seeking to understand their specific goals and needs, and designs a care plan tailored to meet them where they are. She takes pride in her inclusive approach, fostering a therapeutic environment where all clients, regardless of background, identity, or experience, can heal and thrive. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, exercise, ocean kayaking, and walking her four rescue dogs. Evita offers individual, couple, and family therapy. She is bilingual (English and Spanish).
