Brayden holds a bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University in psychology with a minor in chemistry and a master’s degree from CCSU in marriage and family therapy. Brayden has experience working with clients across the lifespan, but is most interested in working with clients aged eighteen and up. He has held clinical positions in community mental health centers as well as in a substance abuse program and partial hospital/intensive outpatient programs. Brayden is passionate about working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and is committed to providing compassionate, culturally competent care to his clients. He strives to create a space where clients feel they can find and explore their authentic self. Brayden utilizes a strengths-based approach in the therapy room and will work with the client to both create and achieve measurable goals. Brayden is particularly interested in working with folks going through life transitions, clients struggling with anxiety and mood dysregulation, and young adults who are growing into their independence. Brayden believes in treating the entire person and is happy to collaborate with other systems in the client’s life to ensure ongoing support.
Brayden is a fierce advocate for transgender rights and access to healthcare for all. During his time at CCSU he was recognized with the “Activism, Advocacy, and Contribution to LGBT Life” award. In his spare time, Brayden enjoys baking, reading, gaming, and creative expressions such as crochet and tie dye.
