Amberlee is a graduate of the University of Saint Joseph’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. She found joy in helping people while working within the Willimantic community during her undergraduate years at Eastern Connecticut State University. Through seeing a varying range of people, Amberlee has experience working with clients who wrestle with mental health diagnoses and struggles, including but not limited to Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, OCD, and anger. Amberlee also has experience working with clients exploring their gender and/or sexuality.
Amberlee’s style is authentic, warm, and client-centered. She meets clients where they’re at, understanding that building a relationship with a new therapist can take time. Amberlee uses different modalities to therapy, taking pieces from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy.
Amberlee would be a great fit for any individual or couple looking for an authentic therapist to provide support related to “unlearning” cycles they feel stuck in, feelings of sadness, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or struggles related to gender or sexuality.
In her free time, Ambelee enjoys cooking, going on walks with her partner, and her guilty pleasure of watching reality TV.
